السلام عليك – Peace be upon you!
- In view of announcement by Alberta Government today, May 4, 2021, we are reducing the allowed capacity inside the masjid to 15 persons at a time, on first come first serve basis. This is to be followed strictly and doors will be locked as soon as we reach capacity.
- Jumma prayers to continue at 1:45 and 2:30 pm in line with the above-mentioned restrictions, on first come first serve basis.
- As a matter of emphasis, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind all community members to keep following the COVID-19 restrictions regarding masks, social distancing and cleaning. Please only stand or sit on the marked spots in the prayer hall.
We are taking this decision with a very heavy heart, as these are the ten most sacred days-and-nights (last Ashra’) of the most sacred month (Ramadan) for the believers. However, the health and wellbeing of our community members and fellow citizens is most important. We must, therefore, follow the restrictions in these extraordinary times and need your cooperation and understanding to implement them. Thank you for your continued support and understanding!
We’ll likely not be able to have the Eid prayers due to current circumstances and will send out another announcement about it.
