In view of moon sighting in many countries around the globe and the announcements by the Islamic Association of North America (ISNA) and other Muslim organizations across Canada, we are pleased to announce that the Eid Al’fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Eid prayers will be held @ the following address:
Swan City Football Club @ 8:30 am
11319 105 St, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 7P1
Indoor field – next to old Composite High School
Doors open at 8:00 am and prayers will start at 8:30 am. Please be respectful of everyone’s time.
Please also note that the venue prohibits any food, snacks or drinks on the field. Please avoid distributing any food or snacks and clean up after you.
Zakat ul Fitr (Fitrana) should be paid before Eid prayer @ $20/family-member (or @ $15/family-member if you cannot afford the higher amount and your usual meals are inexpensive). Donations boxes are available in the masjid and Eid venue for Zakat ul Fitr. You can also contribute by paying by cheque, debit-machine, e-transfer, or through website https://masjedgp.ca/donate/ noting that the donation is for Zakat ul Fitr.
