السلام عليكم – Peace be upon you!
In view of the announcements by the Islamic Association of North America (ISNA), the Hajj announcement by Government of Saudi Arabia and having discussions with various Imams in Alberta, we are pleased to announce that the first day of Dhul Hijja 1442 H is going to be Sunday, July 11, 2021 and accordingly Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
Eid prayer will be held at 9:30 am in the Crosslink County Sportsplex located at 7407 108 St, Clairmont, AB T0H 0W0.
As per the practice of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), if you intend to sacrifice an animal on the day of Eid Al-Adha, then it is recommended not to clip your nails or trim your hair until the sacrifice has been completed. Please also note the following:
- Face masks and coverings are not required to be worn but are highly recommended.
- Please do not come for prayer if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath or if you are a close contact of a person who tested positive for COVID-19.
- Please bring your own prayer mat. Eid prayer will start right on time, so please ensure punctuality.
Eid Mubarak to you and your families!
Kinds regards,
The Masjid Executive Committee
